David Lunsford joined Steptoe & Johnson in January, 2006. Mr. Lunsford has extensive experience in estate planning, administration and litigation involving trusts and estates. His practice also includes representing businesses in structuring and planning business matters as well as counseling business owners. Mr. Lunsford has also represented many clients in commercial transactions and business litigation.

Mr. Lunsford has made presentations to many civic organizations and other seminars regarding estate planning and administration matters as well as various business related topics. He has served as President of the Charles W. Cammack Children’s Center and President of the Tri-State Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. He currently serves as Regional Vice-President of Buckskin Council, Boy Scouts of America and as a Trustee of the James and Alice Teubert Charitable Trust. He is also active in other civic and church activities.
EDUCATION AND PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Mr. Lunsford received his legal education and his undergraduate degree in Finance at West Virginia University. He also graduated with high honors from the National Graduate Trust School.
Mr. Lunsford has significant experience in trust banking, having been an officer of a major West Virginia bank. He subsequently was a partner with the West Virginia law firm of Huddleston, Bolen, Beatty, Porter & Copen. From 1996 through 2005, Mr. Lunsford continued his practice of law with his own firm.
