Dan McDonald focuses his practice primarily on public utility and transportation law. Mr. McDonald represents privately-owned public utilities, both publicly traded and closely held, as well as publicly-owned public utilities such as municipalities and public service districts, and solid waste haulers, transfer stations and motor carriers of passengers and property.

Mr. McDonald has extensive experience litigating applications for certificates of public convenience and necessity, utility rate cases, affiliated transactions cases, purchases and sales of public utilities, defense of customer complaints, agency rulemakings and territorial disputes before the Public Service Commission of West Virginia.
