James Wright concentrates his practice in the area of complex litigation, with an emphasis on representing medical professional, hospital liability as well as complex commercial and business matters. Mr. Wright has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts in Ohio and West Virginia. He has also argued cases before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and various appellate courts in the State of Ohio. He has also represented physicians before state licensure boards.

REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE

• As lead counsel, defended claims in excess of $250 million regarding allegations of contract breach, fraud and tortious interference in a natural gas measurement dispute
• Numerous jury trials defending medical professionals, hospitals and other providing institutions against allegations of serious injuries ranging from birth-related injuries to wrongful death
• Sought preliminary and permanent injunctions to prevent interference with energy company rights of way and major transmissions lines
