Sarah McCarty joined Steptoe & Johnson in 2006 and practices in the firm’s Charleston office.

Ms. McCarty is a member of the American Bar Association, the West Virginia State Bar and the Ohio State Bar Association.

Ms. McCarty received her Juris Doctorate from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. While in law school, she served as a Masthead Editor for I/S: A Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society. She was the recipient of the 2006 Nancy H. Rogers Prize in Dispute Resolution and gained top honors in the fields of Pre-Trial Litigation and Advanced Issues in Alternative Dispute Resolution.

Ms. McCarty holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Ohio University, with a concentration in marketing. She also graduated summa cum laude from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and was chosen as the 2001 College of Business Outstanding Graduate in Management.
